Ryan Patrick Boylan has had a guitar in his hands and a burning desire to create positive change in his heart for the last 20 years. From being accepted into a prestigious classical guitar program at the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts at age 14, to signing multiple record deals with his brother Adrian & their band OTHERWISE, Ryan has experienced first-hand what it means to truly live a life by music.

Ryan has played hundreds of shows across The United States, Canada, Mexico & Puerto Rico. He has also been featured on the cover of Guitar Player Magazine, and is the founder of a non-profit that provides music education and instruments to those in need.

While attending the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Ryan was inspired by 3 words that came to him that would reaffirm his purpose in life. These words represented a lifestyle and a call to arms to never give up on pursuit of his musical dreams – LIFE BY MUSIC. 

Life By Music (LBM) quickly became a mantra that reminded Ryan, his bandmates and his friends to always believe in themselves, their dreams, and to always trust in the power of music. LBM had become a symbol. A symbol that represents the true essence of  music & how it can be a powerful guiding light in life. 

In 2016, Life By Music evolved from an inspirational saying, into a 501c3 organization devoted to sharing how music and the arts can be used as a tool for self-expression, collaboration and empowerment – especially for at-risk youth and veterans.

Now, as the Executive Director of Life By Music, Ryan uses his experience as a nationally-known touring guitarist and songwriter to offer positive, educational experiences to uplift those in need through the power of music, collaboration and community.
