Life By Music
Yet, millions of U.S. public school students still do not have access to any arts education, and a disproportionate number of these students are from urban communities and are of high school age or older.
Working with at-risk schools, foster homes, after-care programs and veterans' groups, LIFE BY MUSIC designs specialized music education programs in supportive and enriching environments. Our goal is to instill life skills that will improve mental health and life outcomes.

Shoulder To Shoulder Veterans Program
This is a beginner course for veterans who want to learn how to jam on the guitar and express themselves through songwriting. Through this program, participants will learn fundamental guitar and vocal techniques, explore the art of songwriting, and experience the power of collaborative music-making.
This course is designed to focus on the “art of the jam,” so each week veterans will play along with popular songs and learn mindfulness practices to help facilitate the flow of their creative expression through music.
The course is led by experienced musicians and instructors, and is part of Life By Music’s initiative to make music education and instruments more readily available for self-empowerment and well-being.
